Mask!

Oops, I havnt posted in a long while but I have a few things to post about so will be over the next few days.
A couple of weeks ago I had to make a mask for Textiles at school. I told Mum and she took me to this blog and showed me this post! Also she posted this mask as well. Ok then - this is my mask ~

Excuse the school uniform!

It's not as good as hers but its okayish! I made it by -
1. Drawing a picture of a mask on an A4 sheet of paper and cutting it out.
2. Using the template I cut out some red card, I put the mask to my face and drew little circles where the my eyes roughly were then cut out eye holes.
3. I then painted it in about 2-3 coats of eggplant purple paint (we didnt have any dark purple card).
4. When it was dry I used a make up puffa thingy (it was sparkly powder stuff you put on your face) and padded it all over the mask, it made it look sparkly and sorta cloudy!
5. After this I used some of Mum's gems to put in the corner. I did one biggish one in the corner of the eyes then a small one then a tiny gem heart.
6. I punched some holes and tied on some elastic.
7. Lastly I glued on some fabricy leaves in the corners (we didnt have any feathers) and then made two flowers with fake flowers and brade and stuck them on top of the leaves (this covered up the holes).

Project Manga - drawing 2

Hello again :)

Well I completed me second Manga drawing last night, this time it is a side view of Daisy, (Daisy is the girl it shows how to draw face views iykwim lol) Urm... dont know what else to say so I will show you her -


Well, what do you think? It is better than my last one me reckons :D The hair was so much easier to do when your drawing it as a ponytail rather than a bun it wouldnt seem like it seeing as you have to draw it all and on the bun you only draw a part but hey I'm the girl who thinks decopauge is easier and better than stamping. Thats weird but my hair colour says a lot for that lol. I am much more pleased with this one than I was my first one :) And as you can see I kept the big lashes like I said I would.

Ok I think thats all for today.

Oh yeah, been playing Theme Hospital a lot this week, I completely forgot about that game until I found it whe I tidied my room at the beginning of the week The thing is the graphics on it arent that great so it wouldnt download onto my computer because it is a newer model or whatever. Luckily it downloaded onto Mums and me and Mum dont want to be beaten by its harder levels :'( :D

Project Manga

Hello everyone,

I have taken up Manga drawing art. I think it is a really cool style of drawing and I would love to be able to draw really good manga in my own style. I have gotten a Manga book out of the library whilst I am wishing away for one for Christmas :D I have only done one drawing so far but I am going to do some more soon.

She's not amazing, the eyelashes are to big, the face is to small, the neck is too long and the hair isn't exact but its a start! And I might keep the big eyelashes that's one way to make it my own style :)
I haven't coloured it in because in the book it says not to colour the first one because the colouring technique's are later on etc... etc...! The next sketch/drawing is sideward glance of the same girl who in the book is named as Daisy. Then it has front and side for a boy.

Journaling with my mum :)

Hiya all x

I have started this 30 day journal and I quite like it :) I've only done 2 prompts but I am gonna do more. I am doing it with Mum so we randomly choose one we fancy doing. We both do a page at the same time... of course we have to make sure we both have a pencil as there is a weird stationary situation when there shouldn't be as I'm always buying the stuff it just goes missing lol.

Anyways here is my first one... Prompt 1 :)
I think that if you click on it, it will be bigger. This page is supposed to be what represents you. I think. Well I have my name... duh :P A monkey as they are my favourite animal, lovehearts dotted here and there as am girly, somewhere on there is a cheese I think I drew an Edam and I don't even particularly like that kind but I find it the easiest cheese to draw, sweets, shops, paintbrush, my family, the vampire is mum (she actually has purple hair), the man with a bird on his shoulder is my Dad Craig, the black haired one is Phoebe (although she has brown hair lol) my annoying sister... didn't know how to represent her so did a flower on her top as she has this floral skirt she wears a lot and the littlest one is Ruby my lickle ickle sis. I didn't colour it in because I preferred it black and white. I hope you like that one.

Second one... Prompt: This prompt was the best part of your day and mine is the cuddles with my dad at the end of the day. I think this one is easier to see but again I think if it is clicked on you will see it better.

Well I think my Mums ones are deffinately better if you head over to her blog now. Also right now my Monkey (remember him?) has been kidnapped by my ickle wickle sis and is being hugged annd is being fed jelly babies lol.

A new card and a batik cat :)

Hello all :)

A couple of weeks back at school in textiles class we were making wall hangings and we had to choose an animal and I choose a lynx cat in some bushes waiting for his prey!!! Although it doesnt look like a lynx cat I think it looks a little like a cat but instead of in a bush he looks as if he is looking into a fish tank lol.



Also all that white stuff is the wax, we had to wax out the outline with these weird things and it kinda went a bit blotchy, oh well. After that we had to paint them in dye. When they were dry we ironed out the excess wax and sewed on any felt bits we wanted in a blanket stitch kind of way. lastly we folded the top, sewed it with a running stitch, weaved a contrasting colour thought that and put a rod in. Oh I almost forgot we had to make a piece of string sorta but getting to bits of long wool and twisting them round together loads until it was tight then we tied it on. After all that it only cost 50p for us to take it home :) The best thing was that mum likes it :):):)

Secondly the card for the teddy stampers challenge blog.

This time the theme was summer bears so I pictured a bear in a flower meadow. Here it is



I made it by first stamping an image of a forever friends bear that was holding a balloon but I tried to ink around the balloon so it didnt show up then i stamped lots of flowers, after this I drew a flower in the place of the balloon and put glittery stuff in the middle of the flower.Then I drew stalks on the stamped flowers with a green sharpie like marker pen, I coloured in the bear and flowers with mums pro-markers and finally I used a peel off sticker for Happy Birthday and stuck two sticker stars on.

Ok then thats all for now :)

On another topic, the other day I went to my Nan and grandads house in hastings and I took some really funny photos on my new phone (LG cookie) and also Nanny Irene got me a 4GB memory card so yay :)

This pic aught to embarrass her in a few years :D

And when she is 13 I'll be 23 so that gives me right to embarrass her in front of her friends :D
hehe, althought enough of that lol, I wanna congratulate my Mummy as she has done really really well on her diet, she has nearly loat a whole STONE I could never do that not in a million years lol (well maybe one day but right now I do not have the will power!) anyways she has stuck by this diet even though I have forgotten so many times that she is on a diet and have waved yummy treats in her face offering her some of it. I am used to offering sweets and crisps etc around and I keep automatically doing it to my mum. So well done Mummy :D

And lastly I wanna thank Gail for my pressies they are wonderful and I love them lots :) Wanna looksie???

Hiya, sorry for not posting in a while *embarrased look* *tears to eyes*, cakes for all lol.

Moving on the other day mhy cousin Toni had a baby girl so I thought I would make her a card.

I am the tall one at the back (having to kneel to fit in the piccy *rolleyes!*), Alice is bottom right (she is sitting down), April is bottom left (kneeling). That pic is from when we were in Danley but know we are in the accademy we hardly see Alice anymore :'(

Valentines Card and paint...

Hiya, I made a valentines day card for the teddy stampers challenge blog :D

Here it is...




I used the matt and layer technique for the love heart paper, the brownish paper and the bear, the love heart is on foamy pads. The ribbon is a paper strip and the little banner thingy says Happy Valentines day :)

Also does everyone know what paint is on the computer or laptop. Well I made this thing on paint lasdt nigh, hope you like it...

If you click on it you will see it better, it is of me and my lil sis Ruby, I would have put Phoebe on there but I dont have a pic of her on my laptop.
the second square is a pic I took on webcam and edited, the 6th and 8th squares where taken from a camera. The rest I drew on paint. I hope you like it and it will be larger if you click on it :)

Embossed card

The other day I made a card for the teddy stampers challenge blog, my Mums friend (Gail :D) gave the embossed card to my Mum, she gave it to me and it was done by the cuttlebug. The teddies are forever friends stamps and the pink parts are coloured in with felt tips.
